Colorado is a colorful state that credits themselves with “everything but the ocean” when it comes to filming locations.

There are farm fields, desert, contemporary architecture in big and small cities, and generous film crews are ready to help with filming projects.

The Centennial state reimburses 10% of below the line expenses of production, presuming that 75% of that spending is done with Colorado based business and with Colorado cast and crew.

Also, should any production personnel occupy a hotel for more than 30 days, the state will wave taxation. In addition, Colorado is awaiting legislation that would create an incentive program providing $25 million a year in transferable tax credits.

Colorado has had almost 400 productions filmed in its state since the turn of the century.
