Sante Fe, N.M. – New Mexico’s filmography continues to grow, as Gov. Bill Richardson announced that Cyclone Productions will film a major portion of The Killer Inside Me in the Sante Fe area, according to the New Mexico Film Office.

Director Michael Winterbottom will be working with a star studded cast in Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson and Casey Affleck – just to name a few. The film about a psychotic killer will begin filming on location in March and create numerous jobs for local crew members in the New Mexico.

New Mexico’s 25% tax rebate, prime location, crew base and environmentally cognizant film production program has generated almost $2.5 billion dollars since the time that Gov. Richardson took office – touting over 100 major movie and television productions.

This summer when you hit the theatres to see Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, you might notice that they too were filmed in New Mexico.

The Killer in Me will also film in the state of Oklahoma, which has begun to create quite a stir in the film industry as well. The Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate gives a 15-17% rebate on production, driving film, television, and commercial production to the state.
