The Living Room has milk chocolate colored walls with white custom made wooden fireplace faced in brown marble. The custom brown silk furniture and window treatments are set on a cream colored Flakati rug. Lots of charming accessories accentuate the room including hand-made butler and maid. (pic02)
The Dining Room also has milk chocolate walls with a 60 inch round glass and mahogany Dining Room table and brown silk chairs. A mahogany server with candlestick lamps sits on the wall behind the table. The Dining Room also has a round cream-colored Flakati rug. (pic03)
The Family Room is hand-painted with green harlequin diamonds with gilded gold nail heads on the walls. The ceiling is anaglypta wallpaper painted in gilded gold to look like a tin ceiling. All the furniture is green chenille filled with down. An English floral rug sits in the center of the room. The rest of the furniture is dark mahogany. This room also has a beautiful white custom made fireplace with columns. (pic04, pic05)
The Kitchen is in the back of the house overlooking the deck and pool. Everyone wants to hang out in this room. The walls are painted white in a Venetian plaster. The ceiling has old fashion anaglypta wallpaper in a clay color. We eat at a very large old pine table with cherry red chairs. There are black and cream toile drapes on the sides of the windows just to add a little color and warmth. On the left side of the Kitchen table sits an old antique pine library filled with childrens books. My grandchildren sit on an old pine bench reading for hours. Next to the bench stands a life-size whimsical French pastry chef. The work area consists of cream colored rubbed cabinets, an angled island with bead board and a cherry wood counter top. The Music Room houses a black digital baby grand piano and is surrounded by all glass doors and windows overlooking the Victorian deck. Tons of family photos sit on the piano. An antique music stand and an antique violin sit next to the piano. (pic08, pic09)
The Victorian Deck/Porch wraps around the back of the house. Its painted white with a touch of Victorian and a touch of the tropics with palm trees and flowers. The deck is completely covered with a white canvas awning with drapes. The majority of the furniture is old white wicker that I have collected over the years. (pic10)
The L-shaped pool is surrounded by fifty-foot tall pine trees, magnolia bushes, dogwoods and all sorts of tropical plants and flowers. We have great parties and Luaus here with a Tiki bar and Tiki umbrellas surrounding the pool. (pic11, pic12, pic13, pic14)
My office is painted in a soft aloe blue with distressed cream-colored furniture and carpeting. (pic15)
The Master Bedroom is a quiet retreat. It is painted in a soft milk chocolate colored walls and ceiling. A big old bronze iron bed is always covered in crisp sheets and a linen ivory duvet cover. A cream-colored damask chaise lounge sits in the corner of the room with a white mink throw on it. Behind the chaise stands a slim, Victorian Christmas tree decorated in ivory roses and ivory satin ribbons. This tree stays in the room all year round. The cream-colored secretary sits on the wall in front of the bed. The only other thing in the room is an iron pedestal topped with a bunch of white dogwood branches. (pic16, pic17)
The first Guess Room has a Western farm scene hand-painted on the walls with a barn, cows, ducks and horses. The headboards were made to look like barns. (pic18)
The second Guest Room is beige and black. It has black wooden furniture and lots of football memorabilia in it. (pic19)
The third Guest Room is a little bit more formal. It is painted in ambrosia pink with all white accessories. An old iron gate is used as the headboard. Old pine furniture is used for end tables and an armoire. The room has a white rug. (pic20)
