Storm watching and cuddling by the wood stove are favorite winter pastimes. Beverly Beach is well known for beach-combing, picnicking, surfing and easy foot access under Hwy 101. We can see the beach at low tide, colorful kites, wind surfers, and hang gliders right from the windows. There is a small grocery store on the way where you can pick up your kite. The State Park offers a nature trail along Spencer Creek among the towering trees of the Suislaw National Forest - all within walking distance from the home.
