They have been spotted within 40ft from the Hale O Kehena. Don't forget the heart warming dolphins that play year round in ocean off the back of the property! Are the tempatures dropping? Kahena is beautiful year round. Like many of our Hawaiian Islands it can rain at any given moment only to open to sunny skies the next. Let youself relax to the sound of the ocean wave crashing while listening to Hawaiian music. Have a BBQ or make exotic drinks in the blender. Sun, or swim at black sands of Kehena, known for dolphin encounters and is only a 5 minute walk from the house. There is a warm water pond and tide pools near by. Hale O Kehena is located south of Hilo (24 miles) and approximately a 20 minute drive from amazing Volcano National Park. North is the lushness of the water falls and greenery. South are fields of magical lava. If you go around the Island you will find rain forest, dry Kona, or wet Waimea. Shopping at Waikaloa or quaint Hawi.
