Property Description
My cabin style home is located on Issaquah Creek, nestled in the foothills of the Cascade mountains. Issaquah is a lovely, little town, just east of Seattle, next to I-90. My home is 564 sq. ft., with a large, beautiful elongated yard, right on the wild salmon spawning side of Issaquah. Near the river are several large maple trees, that showcase huge, colorful leaves each fall. Boehms Candies, Triple X Rootbeer Drive-In (the car show center of the universe), Kenny the local business sign dancer (as seen in the book "Weird Washington"), a Rooster named "McNugget" that escaped from the Weed and Feed store several years ago - now resides at the Espresso stand (you get a coffee, you feed the rooster and go), are all literally just around the corner from my home. Standing on the small bridge next to my house, looking back towards Tiger Mountain, you will often see Hang gliders soaring off from Poo Poo Point. At the end of my block is Front Street, which has several glass and art gallaries, musicians, restaurants and The Issaquah Village Theatre. Salmon Days takes place the first weekend of every October to celebrate the return of the Salmon to the Hatchery and assorted river/creek branches. The fair and parade start at the end of my block. Children, musicians, animals lining up for the Saturday morning parade each year in the street out front. Issaquah is a favorite location for tourists and local news stations. We have maintained our small town charm and ecclectic personality. I love my little home, my multifacted yard and am always looking to enhance them both. I love Issaquah and believe that you will too!
